There is no industry standard for measuring ice retention, and we would hesitate to put a time period to ice retention (as some manufacturers attempt to do), because it can vary according to changes in the surrounding environment, ice quality and form and other variables. You can be assured that all possible non-electrical cooler box technology that can be incorporated into our cooler boxes has been – ice retention can therefore be relied upon as the maximum possible, exterior factors notwithstanding.

Remember that the colder your ice when you pack your cooler box, the longer it will last. Block-cut ice chunks starting at –zero temperature will last longer. Ice that is even slightly wet or dripping when it goes in will go much faster. A good tip to help ice retention is to reduce the air inside your cooler box – pack any empty space left, after ice and items are in, with towels or newspapers. Read more ice advice here.
